Our hosts are responsible for making the magic happen. They’ll welcome you like much-loved, out-of-town friends, and bring our city and our country to life through personal stories and life experiences. They aim to surprise and delight you, and to help you get under the skin of Sydney and her surrounds.
In their safe and capable hands, you’ll see the major sights and many icons of our beloved city. But they’ll also take you off the beaten track, away from the tourist hordes, to share little-known restaurants, local neighbourhoods and hidden views. To help you uncover Sydney’s essence, and connect you with local people, cultures and customs. These unique, authentic moments are often the ones our clients find the most memorable.
Below, you’ll find a profile of each of our Sydney Luxury Experiences hosts, so you can get to know them a little better. James A.
Born and bred in the beautiful Northern Beaches region of Sydney, James is a local Sydney tour guide and the brains and vision behind Sydney Luxury Experiences. A passionate adventurer who’s travelled to 50+ countries, he has an acute understanding of what travellers are seeking when they visit a destination.
An accredited Sydney tour guide, James has been sharing the wonders of his home city with guests for over 13 years. He started out guiding for other companies, before forming the highly respected Cloud 9 Tours in 2018. Noticing a gap in the market for high-end luxury tours, he set up the boutique tour business Sydney Luxury Experiences in 2024.
Whether curating designer itineraries in the office or guiding guests on the road, everything James does is infused with a joy for travel and a passion for all things Sydney. He’ll ensure that your tour is 100% focused on your interests and preferences, and always goes the extra mile to create cherished memories.
Greg O.
Lead guide for Sydney Luxury Experiences, Greg hails from Melbourne but is now proud to call Sydney home. With a background in stage production for the Melbourne Theatre Company and experience working in airlines and cruise ship entertainment, he sure knows how to put on a show!
Known for his infectious sense of fun, entertaining storytelling skills and his ability to build an instant rapport with people, Greg has achieved legendary status among our guests. A lover of good wine, travel and meeting new people, he’s a true character who goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional service and highly personalised experiences. With an intimate knowledge of the region and bucketloads of creativity, it’s little wonder he’s our most-requested guide.
Rebecca M.
James’s sister and part of the core Sydney Luxury Experiences team, Rebecca is responsible for ensuring that our office and business are ticking over smoothly and efficiently. Drawing on a wealth of experience from her business degree, she puts her multiple talents to use across all aspects of the business, from designing itineraries to marketing and liaising between guests and guides. You may even find her guiding in one of her favourite places – the Hunter Valley.
With a passion for showcasing the best of Sydney and her surrounds and keen attention to detail, Rebecca loves delivering exceptional experiences for our guests. Outside of work, you’ll find her feeding her spirit for adventure and revelling in the many outdoor activities on offer in the region.
Rohan H.
Originally from Melbourne, Rohan has been calling Sydney home for the last 37 years, which makes him an honorary Sydneysider! With a degree in Business Studies majoring in Hotel Management and Tourism and a lifetime of working in the hospitality and tourism industry, it’s in his DNA to provide all guests with an exceptional level of service.
As an inner-city resident, there’s nothing Rohan loves more than pounding the streets, uncovering hidden delights and unique experiences to share with guests. A gifted storyteller with a passion for wine, food, travel, swimming and Aussie rules football, he loves sharing his authentic perspective of his adopted home city.
