Your Gourmet Hunter Valley experience begins with an early morning pick up from your Sydney accommodation. A Sydney Luxury Experiences host will whisk you away in private luxury for the scenic drive to the Hunter Valley, a journey of around two hours. Sit back and relax as we depart Sydney’s leafy Northern Suburbs and head north, crossing the mighty Hawkesbury River and passing through serene and historical national parks. We’ll take a refreshment break about halfway, stopping at a gourmet homestead set amid sprawling bush for a coffee and a pastry/cake from their renowned bakehouse.

Discover over 160 years of winemaking history with a VIP premium wine tasting experience at Tyrrell’s, one of the oldest family-owned wineries in Australia. In the expert hands of a Tyrrell’s team member, embark on a tasting journey through some of their most iconic and award-winning wines. Set in a special tasting room in their historic homestead, sip and swirl your way through a tutored tasting of several Winemaker’s Selection wines, both current vintages and aged releases carefully chosen from the Tyrrell family’s private cellar.
Intimate tasting experience at a boutique winery
With over 150 cellar doors, part of the excitement of the Hunter Valley is the blend of big names with small, boutique producers offering a more intimate feel. Contrast a visit to one of Australia’s top wine producers, with a trip to one of the region’s small, family-run, boutique wineries in or around the town of Pokolbin. Offering a more personal experience, you’ll likely have the opportunity to meet the owners or winemakers, learn more about the region and their unique wines, and sample and purchase limited release drops not easily found outside the region.
